Lungs cancer causes, symptoms and treatment

lungs cancer

If there is anything that a living being takes in continuously, it is only breath. We can survive for a few days without food and water. But we cannot live for a minute without breathing. We breathe even when we sleep. Air in this order. We take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide. All this process is done by our lungs.

A lung weighing 2.3 grams has two lobes (chambered) on the left and three lobes (chambered) on the right are divided. Lungs are prone to cancer due to some human mistakes.

Main Causes of Lung Cancer

Like other cancers, lung cancer is caused by the uncontrolled growth of cells in the lungs. The main cause of lung cancer is human errors like smoking and the use of tobacco products. Once upon a time, only men used to smoke and most of them were affected by lung cancer. But now, women are also affected by this disease due to smoking. Change color even after drinking it once.

Even if we smoke once, there are 4 thousand chemicals and more than 60 carcinogens in the cigarette we smoke. Due to this, the risk of lung cancer continues to haunt even those who quit smoking. It is a threat to smokers as well as their family members. Lung cancer has a high rate of spread compared to other cancers. That means it can quickly spread to other parts of the body. That is why the chances of survival for long are low for patients affected by this disease. Air pollution along with smoking, radon gas, and aspen. Those who work in companies are also at risk of lung cancer.

Symptoms of lung cancer

• Difficulty breathing.

• Profuse cough, coughing up blood

• Appetite, weight loss

• Fatigue, fainting easily

• Pain in the chest, stomach

• Difficulty swallowing food

Causes of lung cancer

There are three types of lung cancer. Among them,

1. NCLC Small Cell Lung cancer.

2. NSCLC non-small cell lung cancer

3. Cancer that has infected other organs has spread to the lungs.

These tests should be done

If lung cancer is suspected, a chest x-ray and biopsy should be done. Based on the reports received there, tests like CT Scan, and Pet CT Scan will have to be done. Along with these, spirometry, bronchoscopy, and physical examination should be done. What is the stage of the disease by these tests? Treatment should be done based on that.

Treatment Methods

If the disease is detected at an early stage, a lobectomy is performed to remove the cancerous part of the lung. But surgery can be done only for non-small cell cancer. Small-cell lung cancer tends to spread and is treated mostly with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. These therapies should also be given to surgical cases.

Cancer ulcers

Ulcers that lead to cancer can be fatal if not detected in time

An ulcer is a problem that everyone faces in life. Drinking less water is the main symptom of gastric ulcers. Ulcers are usually caused by mental stress. These will subside in three to four days. Otherwise, if it bothers you for a long time, you should suspect such ulcers.

Common ulcers

Oral ulcers, peptic ulcers, gastric ulcers, esophageal (esophagal) ulcers, bedsores, STDs like syphilis, herpes, ESP, fungal infections, and neuropathic leg ulcers are more common.

Ulcers leading to cancer

Peptic ulcers

These ulcers at the beginning of the small intestine are also known as duodenal ulcers. This ulcer, which is more common in the digestive system, has a one percent chance of becoming cancer.

Gastric ulcers

Although less common than peptic ulcers, they are more likely to become cancerous. Gastric ulcers are caused by a bacterial infection called Helicobacter pylori.

Stomach ulcers

Chronic gastric ulcers can lead to stomach cancer. So if the ulcer recedes for a time and reappears, you should immediately consult a doctor and get a biopsy done. If so, a CT scan, ultrasound, and endoscopy should be done. It will show the stage of the cancer.

Major Causes of Ulcers

Spicy food, chili, mental stress, alcohol, etc, are the main causes of ulcers. It was discovered in 1982 that the bacteria Helicobacter pylori can also cause ulcers. However, when the lining of the patient's digestive system is damaged due to stress, acidity, alcohol consumption, smoking, and body composition, these bacteria can lead to ulcers. People who use painkillers more often are more likely to get infected with this bacteria.

Major symptoms of gastric ulcers

Abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, hiccups, acidity, belching, bloody vomiting, and blood in the stool.

Treatment methods

A part of the stomach infected with cancer is removed, followed by a gastrectomy, lymph nodes, and part of the small intestine. When the disease is detected late, the entire stomach is removed and the esophagus and small intestine are combined. Symptoms like inability to take food properly, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and constipation are seen after surgery. Supplements, vitamin D, calcium, iron, and vitamin B12 injections may be given after surgery. When the stomach is removed, the food eaten goes directly into the small intestine. That causes 'dumping syndrome'. Therefore, food should be taken in smaller doses more often. Fluids should be taken before and after meals.

In the final stage

When cancers associated with ulcers are detected in the late stages, laser therapy and radiotherapy are offered. With these treatments, a cancerous tumor is reduced in size and a stent is placed in the intestine. Food goes into the digestive tract through this tube made of metal or plastic.

Precautions

If you suffer from heartburn, bloating, sour belching, and indigestion symptoms not infrequently but often, you should not follow the advice given on antacids. As there is a risk of them turning into cancer, when symptoms appear, consult a doctor, undergo necessary tests, and seek medical treatment.
